A MESSAGE FROM ANTHONY TOGLIATTI
I would like to thank you for your support in the last Council election and encouragement the last year and a half as I served as your City Councilman.
As a life long resident, local business owner and graduate of both the Independence High and Middle Schools, I have and continue to, invest in the well being of the City of Independence.
Two years ago I campaigned asking for your vote of confidence, vowing to be “the voice of the people.” As your city councilman, I have clearly spoken out as an active representative on behalf of our local residents. My active involvement on community organizations and local initiatives have provided me unparalleled insight into the wants and needs of my fellow residents. I have, and will continue to be, the voice of the people.
As your council representative, I am determined to:
• Maintain open communication between Residents, Schools, and City Hall • To improve transparency of our city government • Continue to improve Senior Services, while developing a Senior Housing Plan • Develop a feasible plan for the improvement of our Downtown District • Continue to develop the infrastructure supporting Rockside Road • Maintain Fiscal Responsibility • Initiate Rental Housing Inspection Practices to ensure the beauty of Independence • Preserve Green Space, while developing the city to maximize economic potential • Focus on Environmentally Friendly Development techniques
I have begun my door-to-door campaign and hope that I have the opportunity to meet with you face to face. I look forward to exchanging ideas and hearing your concerns and issues of priority. I ask for your support as I seek re-election as your City Council representative so I can ensure that long-term solutions are reached to address these concerns.
