Meet Anthony Togliatti
Rooted in Independence
Anthony believes that commitment to family, hard work, and integrity are the values our elected leaders should reflect. Born in Cleveland in 1976, he has proudly called Independence home since the age of two. A graduate of Independence Schools, Anthony went on to excel academically and athletically, finishing in the top ten of his class and later attending Kenyon College, where he earned Academic All-American honors as a student-athlete.

Anthony’s career and community involvement reflect a lifelong commitment to leadership and service. His experiences include:
Conducting medical research at Harvard and UCLA, resulting in published studies in international journals.
Living and volunteering abroad in Nicaragua, where he aided in healthcare and reforestation efforts, even during the devastation of Hurricane Mitch.
Serving as an International Business Consultant with Accenture, leading large-scale corporate projects in both the U.S. and Europe.
Founding and operating Living Well Home Care, an Independence-based company employing 45+ caregivers and supporting seniors for over 19 years.
Co-owning and managing Lake Shawn, a 108-acre property in southeastern Ohio operated as a fish farm and outdoor recreation destination, hosting guests from professional athletes to regional business leaders.
Serving Independence
Anthony began serving his hometown on the Charter Review Commission before being elected to City Council in 2008. Over the past 17 years, he has served as:

He is proud of his record of putting Independence families first and making decisions that strengthen the community for the long term.
Family & Community Values
Anthony and his wife, Michelle, have been married for 17 years and are raising their two sons, Anthony (15) and Dominic (13), right here in Independence. The boys are active in school, crew, and outdoor activities, and share their dad’s love for sports, engineering, and the outdoors.
